As a dedication, I hand-wrote her quote and set up this picture in my office with the many supplies I had in hand. It symbolizes that even with the chaos that life brings us, whether it be work, school, relationships between family and friends, it is always important to keep dreams alive for we don’t know what to expect from them.

CIBC RUN FOR THE CURE! (Donate!!!)

Hey everyone! So I’m participating yet again in our annual 5K Run For the Cure, here at work. I’ve been participating for the past 4 years in raising awareness and donating money to this charity event, to raise awareness and work towards a cure for Breast Cancer, but haven’t actively ran it since 2009. With a fresh new start to being healthy and also for a good cause, although a short distance, I am running this year. This is for all the women who have witnessed, been, battled, won and lost. You continue to aspire me to run hard but love harder in hopes that one day we can all wake up from a once-upon nightmare, turned in to a dream, made into reality where a cure exists. F*CK CANCER!

Quality > Quantity

This equation in its most simplest form can be applied to almost EVERYTHING. Hitting the 26 year mark in my life I am starting to realize just how important it is to be surrounded by an environment that supports you at your lowest and raises you even higher at your best. Life was never meant to be a popularity contest and although it is something favorable in your early years, it becomes far from your concern as you get older. For the ones you hold close as your quality and not your quantity:

1. Never demand to be respected or loved, you can only ask for it in return with your own actions.
2. You are never better than the people you surround yourself with so be humble, make mistakes and learn to own up to them.
3. Listen to what your friends have to say even though it may not be what you want to hear — their words hurt the most only because you care about them like they care about you.

You lose some only to gain more in life. An honest relationship in love and friendship is a blessing to keep for many more years to come. So count your blessings and if it only happens to be one or two or less than a hand, remember, less is more!
